I am filing a complaint about Synchrony Bank. On -/-/16 I sent an email cancelling my amazon.com store credit card. Synchrony Bank supplies credit for amazon.com. The email address was found on an email from Synchrony Bank. I supplied my name, the last - digits of my acct, the name of the card, and the reason for cancelling my acct. I also contracted to pay the remaining balance on Wed., - - when I received my social security benefits. I received no reply - no message about the correct way to cancell, no correction to email address, nothing about who I should contact. No message from customer service offering to assist me. No message saying I had to pay prior to the - anyway - I would have gone without my - medication to pay them. I know that the email was received - no error message, no returned emails, etc. After numerous attempts to contact the bank at both the statements and customer service depts ( -, -, -, -, etc ) on - - I went online and found that my acct had not be cancelled and a late fee had been added. I want my amazon.com store credit card acct cancelled. I want the past due charge of $25.00 dropped. And, I want a guarantee that I will receive no further past due charges while in dispute.
