Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay New York

Finance company reposed my car claiming my payment was $70.00 short now I must pay tow fees of $250.00 this is after being told by their employee in -/-/- that I only needed to pay $ -then and another - which I did because I was late with the payment by 3 days. Now when I call back speaking with - different employees ( -, -, - ) I get - different amounts that I need to pay to get my car back. When I ask for it in writing because of the different amounts they do not send anything in writing.
