Bank of America Credit Card Complaint

Advertising and marketing

Bank of America Credit card department,

Advertising and marketing California

On - - 2016 I again received marketing email from Bank of America ( yes it is marketing despite what Bank of America calls it ), with the subject " Oh sn-app. Check it out. '' In my previous complaint about this to CFPB, dated -/-/2016, Bank of America responded, " we have determined that the email you are receiving regarding the mobile application is not considered solicitation. As an online banking user, Bank of America considers the use of the mobile application as part of servicing our client 's needs. '' In their response, Bank of America went on to say " In consideration of your request, we have manually refused the option for the mobile application on your behalf on our system of record and this took place on - -, 2016, Please allow up to 48 business hours for the changes to be fully effective ''. However, on - - 2016, I again received this same junk/spam/garbage email with the subject " Oh sn-app. Check it out. '' Perhaps Bank of America has changed the definition of time itself. Their response was on -/-/2016. The next unwanted ( marketing ) email they sent me was on -/-/2016.

Bank of America appears to be completely detached from what they say they are going to do to remedy my concerns, and what they actually do. Again, as I stated in my CFPB complaint dated -/-/2016, Bank of America has changed the definition of marketing email. NO OTHER FINANCIAL INSTITUTION I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH IN THE PAST 15 YEARS HAS BEEN AS PERSISTENT IN THEIR PURSUIT OF SENDING UNWANTED ( MARKETING ) EMAIL AS BANK OF AMERICA. But Bank of America, by unilaterally changing the definition of " marketing '', continues to justify sending this junk/spam/garbage email. If a client has told Bank of America they do not want this type of email, then obviously it does not meet their needs. I have told Bank of America I do not want this email. Many, many times. For over 10 years I have told them this. But they continue to send this. So at best Bank of America is full of themselves ( of course there is a better word than " themselves '' that would describe what Bank of America is, it starts with the letter 's ', but I want to keep this professional ). So for how many more years do I need to tell Bank of America that I do not want this email that they are sending me? Is n't - decade enough for Bank of America to get the message? Obviously not. Bank of America knows they can get away with this 's ', and as long as they know they can get away with it, they will continue to do it. I can only imagine how the people who lost so much money due to Bank of America 's manipulations of the financial system over the past - decades must feel.
