I took out large loans to cover my total tuition expenses for college, as my parents were not in a financial situation that could offer much help. 6 months after graduating with my - in 2013, I was contacted by Wells Fargo to begin my repayment plan. They asked me to pay $ -/month. When I was baffled and confused, the only comments from reps I was met with was " well, do n't you work full time? You knew you were going to have to make these payments? Your parents ca n't help you at all? '' It has been a constant struggle. It 's an astronimical payment for anyone to make, let alone a young person just getting started in their - 's. When I applied to get them consolidated, I was declined because of my low credit score..which is low because I have a difficult time making their payments AND having money to live each month. They wo n't work with me at all, and seem to think it 's perfectly acceptable to ask a - year old to make $1300.00 payments each month. On top of my rent, and bills. I ca n't make ends meet and I do n't know what else to do. I even offered to make $800.00 or $900.00 payments each month, I just can not to the $1300.00 each month, and they were n't satisfied with those numbers either, which is still incredibly high compared to most student loan payments. I 'm stuck and do n't know what else to do. I am not trying to get out of making my payments, but I ca n't live and pay that extreme amount each month. I do n't know anyone at any age that could swing that payment on top of their regular monthly expenses. Please help.
