On - - 2016, I applied for a Bank Of America - Credit Card ( " BOA '' ). BOA targeted me with personalized mailings and online advertisers promising $100.00 statement credit, - miles, and a companion airfare. However, BOA approved the account at their Platinum Plus level, based on their assigned credit limit. This card came with - points and no additional benefits. Buried approximately - paragraphs into the Terms and Conditions, BOA explains the difference between the - - and -. This is anything but clear. BOA does not indicate in - location the overall benefits of the - product, unlike the - - edition. BOA is purposefully deceiving customers and their actions are within the jurisdiction of CFBP and FTC for enforcement under authorizing legislation. BOA has gone above and beyond to sell me a product, however, they gave me something entirely different without any notice. It 's also of notice that my credit score, income, existing trade lines, and other BOA products are consistent with BOA approval criteria for their Signature products. This is an obvious " bait and switch ''.
