Moved into an apartment - week of - 2015. There were numerous repair requests and unknown pests. After no results, I filed rent escrow - 2015 but the management attorney promptly cancelled the hearing and filed a form to release the rent my door was tagged daily with Notice to Move and notes that the contractors would be in the apartment to clean and rerent. I could not afford to move so soon and was in a lease so i emailed to stay and pay - rent. I received an email that " they are not accepting any more rent from me. '' So to keep the contractors at bay and to prevent my belongings from being discarded while i was at work i began leaving notes on my door that i still lived there and do not enter.

I was able to find an apartment and a moving company - -, cleaned the apartment and took pictures and I promptly emailed the company my forwarding address and after a few months I assumed the apartment management kept my deposit and i had a zero balance. 7 months later i get a $950.00 bill from a collection company stating that i owed - for past rent and utilites, administration charges and other nonsense. They have listed that i owe for - rent and late rent fee ( which was paid on time and they retrieved from - - - -. Also they have listed i owe - rent which they refused to accept from me on - -. ) They are billing me for billing me for electric and water, and I have been requesting copies of these bills for over 2 months. I have emailed and made several calls to FABCO, the collection company. I am requesting copies of these utilities because i was responsible for my own utilites and they did not supply or bill for electricity. I had my own electric service - which i transferred to my new apartment. The water was paid monthly and was approx. $20.00 a month. I assumed my deposit was used for the 6 days i was there as i dropped the keys off on - -. It is a shame that an apartment complex can treat someone so horribly because they expected apartment repairs. The daily posting of Notices that contractors would be doing a cleanout of my apartment and tagging my door with eviction notices and threats that 's contractors would be in the apartment cleaning it out were especially cruel since i still lived there and was not behind in rent.
