I had to report - Incidents of Fraud to Chase Bank which resulted in me having to close my checking account. Chase told me I had to come in person to close the fraudulent checking account and open a new checking account. - -, I notified Chase fraud department to close out my debit card because a company connected to fraud had my credit card information and another call was placed - - to stop a check due to another company that was fraudulent. Since I had my account with Chase it was in good standing. I got caught up in ordering things from the Internet and the companies were not reliable. Chase okay-ed my new account and my new debit card. It was not until I checked my account to see if my Social Security Check had posted into my new account I found that there was no check posted.. Their personal banker for Chase name - - ( - - had transferred everything from the old account to the new. When I called Chase to asked them what happened to the direct deposit of the Social Security check they informed me my account was close and they no longer wanted my business. They did not know where my Social Security check went and they would mail me my account balance. I informed them that I could not wait for them to mail my funds and I was told that was the best they could do. They were very insensitive to my needs when I told them I had no money. Everything I had was tied up in their Bank account and they still insisted that they could not give me my full amount back. I love banking at Chase and I do not feel because I had a few bumps in the road they should close my account. They told me it was perfectly legal and they did not have to give me an explanation.
