Payday loan Taking/threatening an illegal action Threatened to sue on too old debt Ohio

In - -, I received a voicemail from - - who said I had been put on her schedule to be served. She said to contact - with questions. I called and spoke with - - ( Phone : - ) on -/-/-. He said he worked for - - - and said I owed a debt to - - that had not been paid on since -. This was completely incorrect. That debt was paid in through a debt management program called -, which submitted regular payments to - - from - - ( Phone : - ), a collection agency that works for - Lending. The debt was paid off in - -. I spoke with - to confirm this, as well as - -, accounts manager for - - ( - : - ) who also confirmed that the account had been paid. - was supposed to send me a paid in full letter on -/-/- and make sure to have his broker recall my account from any collection agencies. When I did not receive the letter, I spoke with him again in on -/-/-, where he once again said he would send a paid in full

papers regarding a claim that had been submitted against me. He said any questions should be directed to the company who submitted the claim at - and gave me a case number to reference. I called the company, Lionstone Holdings Group, and spoke with - - on -/-/-. He said the same thing the company from - had said - that I owe a debt to - - that had not been paid on since -. I told him that it was paid and that I 'd gone through this same incorrect claim with another collection company earlier this year. He was incredibly rude to me and said I had to provide a paid in full letter or the claim will remain against me. Later that day I received another call from the server - -. He said he would be at my house Monday ( today is Friday ) at - and that I need to make myself available. I said I would most certainly not be available and I would not accept or sign any papers. He then got VERY rude and loud and said it was not optional and hung up on me. Obviously, I was incredibly upset by being treated this way. I then called - - 's office ( also on -/-/- ) and spoke with his secretary and explained all of this to her. She checked his files and said he had not recorded any interactions with me at all! She said she would get my account recalled from any collection agencies but that I need to get the paid in full letter from - - since his agency took the payments on behalf of - -. I called and spoke with - - ( -/-/- - and he said he will send me a paid in full letter. He also said I should ignore the unfounded threats from the collection agency and the server, and recommended I file a complaint with the attorney general and the CFPB. He said he would be happy to help in any way to take action against these people and their bogus claims and rude threats. I have had past debts, but I have worked hard to pay them off and I do not deserve to be threatened and harassed like this. Please investigate these companies so that they will stop doing this to people. Thank you.
