TransUnion Credit Reporting Complaint

Credit reporting company's investigation inadequate help over the phone

TransUnion Credit reporting department,

Credit reporting company's investigation Inadequate help over the phone California

A debt collector is reporting the incorrect date of first delinquency on my credit report. I disputed the item and it was verified. In an effort to provide proof of the incorrect reporting to the debt collector, I requested in writing on -/-/15 via certified mail, to Transunion, a copy of the FCRA compliance date/date of first delinquency for the account in question. No where did I list the word dispute. This request was not a dispute. This was a REQUEST to TRANSUNION and not the debt collector. I enclosed a check in the amount of $11.00, which is supposed to be the processing fee for said request. I received in the mail a response to my dispute '' which again was verified. I did not initiate a dispute and Transunion incorrectly initiated one. They sent the information to the debt collector for verification! They did not read my letter and did not attempt to provide the information I requested from them. When I called to request the status of the FCRA compliance date and ask why a dispute was initiated, I was referred to the Special Handling Department who did not understand how to assist me. I was routed to a call center in -, where there is a language barrier and culture barrier. The representative was unable to assist me with my simple request. To date, I still have not received the information I requested, that is supposed to be available to the consumer should they ask for it. Transunion failed to read the request and provide the information I need. They also opened a dispute in which I did NOT REQUEST. However, they cashed me check!
