Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Consumer loan department,
Vehicle loan Taking out the loan or lease Wisconsin
We made an additional principal payment of $5000.00 earlier this year to Mercedes Benz Financial Services. This was made beyond our monthly payment - which is set up as a monthly autopay. MBFS improperly processed this $5000.00 payment as an advance payment. Furthermore, they turned off our autopay. We never authorized them to turn off our autopay, and we made our principal payment in good faith as just that. We had not noticed that they turned off the autopay, but when we did, we asked them to make the necessary adjustment in a manner that would not impair us, and in a way that the interest payments were adjusted back to reflect this payment in -, and I offered to make total payment at that time for the total amount of autopays they never drew from our account. The problem is that when they made the adjustments, they included a number of late payment notices, and also added a number of late payment fees. I have been speaking with them on and off for two weeks and they still have not corrected this. In summary, they acted in an unethical way, trying to turn our principal payment into something it was n't. They damaged our near perfect credit rating by layering on late fee notices - when there were never any late payments - none.. and then they assessed us late fees.
