I started receiving emails in - of 2015 from - regarding update of credit card associated with an account for which I had made a purchase. I had been reviewing my checking account and noticed that the funds were being taken out so I disregarded the emails for those couple months. My balance had been pain off ; However, I was still receiving these emails. I followed up with - and was notified that there was an additional account in my name and address for merchandise that I had not purchased. I notified the rep that this was not a purchase made by me, and she agreed that the card and name on the card used did not match my account name, although it did not match my address. I later received notice from a collection agency regarding this matter. I followed up with the collection agency and let him know that this was not a purchase made by me. They notified me that the only thing they can do is receive payment on the debt that is in my name, they can not change any names or transfer debt.
