Other (phone, health club, etc.) Disclosure verification of debt Right to dispute notice not received Illinois
I discovered my credit bureau reflected a collection for - phone service via Harvard Collections. On - -, I called Harvard and spoke to a - to request a copy of the letter she claimed was sent to me. I had already heard from - prior collection agencies, and I disputed the claimed debt with very specific and documented reasons for my dispute. - at Harvard claimed she would resend the letter via fax and email and remove the item from my credit bureau. This did not occur, so on - -, I wrote to Harvard with copies of my previous letter to other collection agencies explaining I did not agree with the debt and inviting litigation to resolve the matter. Instead on - -, 2015 I received a copy of - 's erroneous bills. I wrote back to Harvard on - - explaining the bills were erroneous and in dispute. I have not heard back, and this item remains unjustifiably on my credit bureau.
