TransUnion Credit reporting department,

Credit reporting company's investigation Inadequate help over the phone New Jersey

I was the victim of identify theft in early 2014 and had money stolen from my checking account at - - - during the period of - through - 2014 through unauthorized charges. I subsequently was able to launch investigations and with - - - help I was able to recoup most of my money. However, I did fall behind on certain bills because of this issue. I incurred various 30 day late payments on - accounts as a result of the identity theft in the period. - 30 day late on my - - - - credit card, - 30 day late on my - - account, and several 30 day lates on my lending club loan account. I have been working with these - creditors and the - credit bureaus ( -, -, and Transunion ) but they do not seem to fully appreciate the issue. I dont feel like I should penalized on my credit reporting which impacts cost of credit and job opportunities when I am the victim. When I try to discuss the issue with the creditors they tell me to speak to the credit reporting agencies. When I speak to the credit reporting agencies, they tell me to speak to the creditors. I am the consumer that is stuck in the middle and neither party can explain to me what the process is to resolve. I have also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and received an identify theft affidavit. I am including copies of the FTC affidavit as well as several claim forms from - - - where I had to have - - - investigate the claims. The claim documents were provided to the creditors and credit reporting agencies but I could not get a response from them on how to address this issue. Please let me know if you can help me.
