They have refused to use my current income to purposely deny my loan modification. My First Citizens Bank assigned specialist - told me that they were not able to use my current income because they solemnly based approval on tax returns. First Citizens Mortgage application, originator, mortgage broker July 16, 2015 - On Monday, we got a phonecall from the person ( - - ) who did the appraisal on our property at the request of First Citizens Bank & Trust - North Carolina. He informed us that the appraisal was inaccurate and that he 'd notified the bank. The bank was however trying to fool us into believing the appriasal was accurate. - - said he would refund the money we paid the bank for the appraisal. He 'd made the same offer to the bank, but the bank refused to take it. To do that, they appraised the land ( purchased for $120000.00 ) at $9800.00 ( tax appraisal uninproved is $70000.00 ). To do that they found land - miles away selling for $ -/acre and ignored land pricing anywhere closer much less inside the resort community. First Citizens Mortgage application, originator, mortgage broker June 22, 2015 - I obtained a 30 year variable conventional mortgage from First Citizens Bank and - - on -/-/-. The First Citizens representative never asked me if I would qualify for a VA mortgage. Had she done that, I would have opted for that ( VA ) mortgage instead of the - I wound up with. What I found out after obtaining the conventional mortgage was that included in the monthly payments would be a PMI of $120.00 per month. If I had the VA mortgage there would not be any PMI at all. After I waited about two weeks for a response from them, I called them to figure out what happened with my application.
