Mariner Finance, LLC Debt collection disclosure verification of debt not given enough info to verify debt November 21, 2016 - We made on time installment payments on a line of credit for the term of the loan. After the last coupon in the book, Mariner Finance advised to call and receive the amount of the last payment. We called and left a message. We never received any correspondence or a return call to confirm if there was any outstanding amount owed. This past week we received a letter threatening us that a lawyer will be filing paperwork within 5 days if we do n't pay the past due amount which was not even listed on the letter. The letter was not certified and arrived as regular mail. We would have paid the amount... |
