At no time in the voice mail message did - - state that this was an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained would be used for that purpose, in violation of FDCPA 807 ( 11 ). The mediator stated she was calling for Miller, Davis and Peoples for a debt that my husband owed which is over 10 years old, proceeded to tell me that the statute of limitations still allows them to collect on this debt.
