Debt collection communication tactics threatened to take legal action December 10, 2015 - I was sent a letter with a payment arrangement for a credit card they purchased. I was then told over the phone another amount I could pay for another card they had. The following month after this discussion I begin to pay on the 12 month agreement we discussed. When I send in the payment I put the account numbers on the the - separate money orders. Today -/-/15 I received a call at my home telling me they had no arrangement on file and that was not enough to now pay off the debt. He now has very serious health problems. He had a - credit card. He tried to pay it but it was sold to Portfolio after - filed for bankruptcy. He continued to pay on it, even though he continually explained his situation. Debt collection communication tactics threatened to take legal action September 11, 2015 - Portfolio Recovery continues to call my cell phone multiple times a day from different numbers. The only thing I have on my credit report is something from 5-6 years ago which is beyond the statute of limitation in Texas. They have done this to me - in the past year and even had me served. They made me so scared and nervous that I ended up breaking down and paying what they asked for ( - ).
