SunTrust Bank Debt collection communication tactics called outside of 8am-9pm September 11, 2015 - I received a phone call at - - my local time, local to the address/zip code that my mortgage is through. When I answered the phone, the representative stated that she is with SunTrust mortgage and asked me for my social security number. She did not disclose that this was debt collection ( failure to use FDCPA miranda ) and I was very confused. She refused to tell me what the call was in reference to.
