Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt resulted from identity theft May 22, 2016 - My signature was copied and used on a promissory note by a financial aid officer at a - in 2002. I was informed by an unknown person that this suspect was being investigated ( during this time frame ) by a voice mail left on my answering machine. I was asked to call. I was too sick to return the call at the time and actually forgot about it until my - refund was intercepted by ECMC. I explained the situation to them and they asked for proof. The school has changed names, all of the staff have been replaced and no one can provide the answers that I need. I am left to struggle with a meage... |

ECMC Group, Inc. Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt resulted from identity theft April 14, 2015 - I have been battling ID Theft for over 5 years now. The only part that will not resolve are federal student loans that ECMC has been garnishing my wages ( at - point it was 25 % weekly pay ) and seizure of my tax refund. They have not responded to either of the - lawyers that I hired or any other attempts that I have made on my own. I have proof with a police report AND that the loans were signed electronically without my authorization ( also includes a false address on the signature page ) but ECMC will not review anything to do with my case since it is easier to take the money from me.... |
