Unable to get credit report/credit score Problem getting report or credit score Texas

I requested my credit report thru annual credit report. After filling out the info and answering the security questions- report did show up. I went to save and print and it kicked me off the page and said I needed to request by mail or phone. The next report, Experian, said they could not process my request and to send them copies of my social, Drivers license, mort papers, utility bills, etc. Are you kidding me? I am not sending my personal info in the mail like that, that is how identities get stolen. I am completely shocked this credit agency would ask me to send these things, especially when they know this info already. Needless to say I did not get a single report and now have to wait 12 months to request another - unless I pay.
