I took out a loan in -/-/- for $15000.00. I recently called back on the -/-/- for a pay off qoute in which I paid. I never received a letter stating that the loan was paid in full, when I called about this I was told that I own more money. When I ask how much is still owed ot ask for an explination., I am told to call - at - but no one ever answers. This practive is simple extortion and a volation of the Fair Credit and Lending act. I also had to report this loan company before for turning mr into collections when the loan was NOT in default.
