I applied for and received on - -, 2016, a Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card. A benefit of the card is that I receive a $300.00 annual credit for travel charged to the account. I called Chase prior to the close of my first statement and was advised that any travel charges thru -/-/16 was eligible for the 2016 credit. When I tried to use the 2016 credit after the close of my - statement I was n't able to do so. I was advised on a call to Chase that I that I had been provided with misinformation on my first call and in fact only travel charges through the close of the - 2016 statement are eligible for the 2016 credit. I relied on the representation made on the first call that travel charges through -/-/16 were eligible for the 2016 credit and deferred purchasing travel till later in - Chase does n't deny that I was provided with misinformation and says that my reliance on it will not change the result of denying me the travel credit for travel purchases thru -. Providing me with misinformation, which Chase does n't deny and either confirmed by listening to the call or was able to do so, should not cause me to lose the benefit I am entitled to under the Sapphire Reserve card. this will result in overbilling me for my travel costs when charged.
