My - year old mother wanted to purchase a chair lift. We found out that - - - had one in stock. When we went to get the item we were told that the item is NOT covered by medicare. However, after contacting medicare we were told that it IS covered by medicare and that the item should be returned and that - should directly bill medicare. When I notified the credit card company of this situation, they called - and were told that they would not agree to the return. This is medicare guidelines, it is not up to the provider of services. They have added interest month after month and late fees. They call numerous times during the day and this is very upsetting to my mother. Please help me resolve this issue so that she may have piece of mind.
