Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Florida

On -/-/2016, -/-/2016 BB & T bank charge me overdraft fees of $36.00 each that amounts to $72.00. When I log in and open the account online and review the overdraft fee transaction in my account details it says " Your account had insufficient funds to pay - item ( s ). BB & T returned the following item ( s ). Total Item Amount : $.00 TOTAL RETURNED ITEM FEE ( $ -/ITEM ) : $36.00 " The message above in parentheses is ambiguous. This message is not complete. This message shows no useful information other than the amount that I am being charged. This message does n't tell me what item was returned making it impossible for me to resolve this with the party that did not receive the payment. Whenever a check is returned not only does BB & T charge a fee but the receiver of the check also charges a return item fee. And I feel that

My available ending balance on -/-/- was $2700.00. I do n't understand how I could have overdrafted. I certainly had enough money to cover any bills.
