I leased a 2013 - truck and financed the lease through US Bank. The vehicle was turned in in excellent condition but upon turning in the vehicle, I was charged $590.00 for alleged wear and tear on the truck bed. I took photos of my truck bed before turning it in. The bed was in very good condition. It had been protected by a Bedrgug truck bed liner. There were small dings that did not exceed the US Bank excessive wear and tear table. In addition to this, they charge a $390.00 lease termination fee which I am paying, however, this appears to be a bait and switch tactic. They lure the consumer in with low lease prices then charge unreasonable lease termination fees attempting to influence the consumer to buy the vehicle at the end of the contract. Even though I did lease a new vehicle at the end of the lease with US Bank, they still charged me the lease termination fee. I am attaching photos of the truck bed to show that there is not damage in the amount of $590.00. To avoid these unreasonable excess wear charges, one would have to park the vehicle and never use it. This alleged damage is in the bottom of a pickup truck bed, but as the photos show, the bed is in very good condition and in no way would impact the value of the truck.
