Discover Credit card department,
I transferred a balance in - - to Discover Card services with a promotional 0 % interest rate until - -. The card also gave me a 0 % interest on new purchases until - -. In my agreement it stated that all payments would be applied with the majority going to the promotion that had the higher interest rate or in the case that was the same the one that would expire first. They instead applied the majority of my payments to the balance transfer that is not due until - - paying it almost in full while the purchases have accrued to more than what the original balance transfer was. I have statements from the CC company showing this and my original agreement. Instead of my payments being equally distributed or majority going to the new purchases as described by Discover, they have forced me to either pay off the new purchases in the amount of $ - by - -, - and leave the original balance transfer that was under $1300.00 that they have paid down to $ - and was n't even due until - -. Very unethical practice to force me to pay 25 % interest on something I was paying on monthly so I would not have a large balance to pay off in - -. I find this practice deceiving and verging on deceitful to change a 0 % interest into 25 % interest. BEWARE of Discover!
