I have been trying to find out from Navient what are all my options in regards to paying my private student loan. For the past year they have been constantly keeping back information. Recently I have been going through some financial difficulties and could not afford to make payments. I was offered the hardship deferment option, but it costs $50.00 just for 3 months. I have been dealing with the rudest person, -, at Navient that all she knows to do is make threats towards and me and my family if I do n't pay ... .stating that she will make sure to put us out on the streets. Recently I have received some letters from Navient stating that now there are more options and that I need to call them. Every time I call I only get - and she states that there are no options that would apply to me ( not even the ones listed on the letter ), even though on the letter it has my loan #. After many days of calling, I was able to speak to someone else, -, and she was nice enough to share more options that are available, though she


she will make sure to escalate the matter and have an attorney 's office come after me. After I tell her I spoke to - about some other options, ( like 1 % interest, late fee waiver ) all of a sudden she remembered that these option are available to me too. As I probe more and share more and more of what - shared as being my options and what the letter states, - starts to recollect the options as well. When pushing to find out what other options I have she starts screaming that I need to pay or she will make sure to have an attorney come after me and then she hung up. I want to know what are ALL my options and not have threats agains me.
