VW Credit, Inc Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle lease Managing the loan or lease Maryland
I recently received a letter from Volkswagen stating that my - VW Passat has been recalled because of the - airbag danger. I contacted them to set up an appointment to fix the dangerous airbag and they do not have the necessary parts. Apparently it might take from 3 months to up to a year or more to fix my car. In the interim, I can not drive it due to the possibility of scrapnel entering my brain, or injuring my children if the airbag deploys. I have 11 months left on my lease and VW will not release me from it. So I am left paying for a car that I can not drive. I tried to trade it in for a safe car, but the dealership wanted me to pay even more than what I owe. So I ca n't drive it, I ca n't trade it in and if I give it back, I still have to pay for something i ca n't use. - and - are at least being classy and giving people loaner cars. VW wo n't supply drivers with loaner cars. VW corporate claims that even though their airbags have been recalled, their cars are safe to drive. I asked them to send me that in writing and they refused. Can your agency help people in my position. I am one of many in this situation.
