I had a chase - card. I was offered to " upgrade '' to a " premier visa '' for a higher annual fee. In return, I was offered - bonus points after spending $3000.00. I completed the upgrade and spent $3000.00, but did not receive the points. When I called to inquire, I was told " I am sorry but our system will not allow us to award the points to an upgraded account ''. When I read the offer, the customer service rep said that they understood because they have received the same complaint from others, but the system prevents them from fulfilling their offer. My issue is that I met the terms and increased spending based on this offer, and now Chase is not meeting its end of the offer, and the customer service rep acknowledges that this is a problem where they are misrepresenting the offer. As a result, I informed rep to cancel my account on -/-/2016 and that I would file a complaint.
