JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
APR or interest rate Minnesota
I applied online for a Chase credit card on - - 's site because it was advertising low APR interest rates & 0 % for 15 months on transferred balances for individuals with good credit ( my Credit score is - ). Within a few days I received letter informing me I was approved, however not all the account balances I requested transferred were granted because of the line of credit the CC Bank provided was n't high enough to cover the total amount so only - of the - accounts was totally transferred, leaving the second only partially transferred. If I was informed that my request could n't be granted I would have cancelled the application but they did n't offer this option. However In their letter, they stated I could request a high credit limit if I wanted the remaining balance transfer but they would need to pull another hard credit report request ( less then two weeks from their previous request ). I refused. Next the new credit card came attached to a typical form letter instructing how to activate the account and the disclosure statement describing how they used my credit score to determine both my
requesting documentation proofing their claim of my credit score being -. After four hours of being passed to - different departments and talked to - different people all claimed I needed to contact - to straighten out this issue. I told them it was extremely unlikely that - would be able to fix Chase 's errors. They as so refused to send me a copy of my credit report they claimed to have with - on it. My opinion of the credit application process banks are perpetrating on consumers is predatory in nature do to the secrecy and concealment of the claimed facts by which they are manipulating the rules to favor higher rates and ensnares consumers into an agreement without knowing what the terms and conditions are until after they have made them and invoked the agreement before it could be reviewed. This leaves consumers without a fair remedy to cancel or refuse the approved application without further investment in ; time, costs, and costs to their credit score. We consumer need to have the right to refuse an offering if it does n't meet our needs before the agreement engagement, not after. This act, in itself, is a tactical form of predatory lending by the banks, is it not? Thank you
