Non-federal student loan Can't repay my loan Can't get flexible payment options New Jersey

I had about - in student loan debt with navient. I recently consolidated with the federal government on all loans except - private loans totaling -. Since it appeared my private loans were close to repayment, my monthly payments spiked drastically and I am not able to pay them on top of my consolidated loan payments with -. My loan payments went from $80.00 to $400.00 after I consolidated. They wo n't stretch out my repayment term. When I tried to lower my payments, they said no. When I asked for a forbearance, they refused as well. They wo n't lower the interest, they wo n't do anything AT ALL. I have nearly $1500.00 in student loan payments each month ( this is way bigger than my paycheck ). It is impossible for me to do ANYTHING right now, and Navient will refuse to work with me in any way. This is predatory lending! They are preying on low income students and offering no assistance. I am out of ideas, next move would be to get a lawyer and fight them in court ( precedent in - and - shows that consumers have beaten Navient and - - over similar issues ).
