Synovus Bank Credit card department,
At one point I had troubled credit. I applied for a First Progress secure card. I started out with a $300.00 limit due to that being the amount of my deposit. I fell on hard times and was not able to continue to pay. I stopped paying the card in which I assumed the deposit would be used to satisfy the debit and account would be closed. Now they are report the account as charged off due to late fees that accrued on the account for - months. In addition, with the item being charged off they are reporting the items as currently delinquent. My problems are below 1. How can a company report something past due each month if the account is charged off 2. How can a company over draw a secure account with fees if the usage of the account never let me overdraw the account? 3. The company was not able to reproduce my original application to show validity of account.
