JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Advertising and marketing Kansas
When booking a flight on Southwest Airlines an offer was available to open a Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card to purchase the tickets. It showed the amount of my ticket purchase and said I would receive a $200.00 credit on my first statement. I opened the credit card and purchased the tickets. When I received my statement it showed the amount of my ticket purchase and the $200.00 credit BUT it also had a $99.00 Annual Membership Fee. The Annual Membership Fee was not disclosed transparently in the information first seen by me the consumer. I was told by a manager named - at Chase that the Annual Membership fee is disclosed later ( obviously in the fine print disclosure ). I am disappointed that Chase is not following the transparency regulation and is sticking the annual fee to customers on the back end instead of showing it in the enticing advertising when consumers are booking/purchasing airline tickets. I want to be credited for the $99.00 annual membership fee.
