In -/-/- I was one month past due on my mortgage payment. On -/-/- I purchased a cashiers check from - in the amount of two months payments made out to my mortgage company Chase JP Morgan. About three weeks later, a bank employee from - - notified me that a cashiers check drawn on JP Morgan Chase bank in the exact same amount of the cashiers check sent in for my payments was sent to -. The cashiers check was made out to - -, not me. I immediately contacted Chase bank to inquire why they did n't apply my payments properly. I was told that they had no knowledge of this transaction, but that I was now 90 days in arrears and being placed in foreclosure. If I wanted to avoid foreclosure, I must immediately send in over - in back payments, late charges and attorney fees. I waited until -/-/-, called again and was told my only option was to modify my existing loan and the payments would be added to the new loan.
