Hyundai Capital America Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle lease Managing the loan or lease Texas
My wife and I had a lease w/ Hyundai Motor company. After the lease was at term, we turned the vehicle into the dealership we purchased it from. Shortly after, the dealership contacted us and said that they had decided to purchase the vehicle for the amount left owing and we should not be due any further charges. We then received a bill - - for $400.00 for disposal of the vehicle. I called and asked their Lease End dept. to ask what the charge was for and they said its just part of the contract and if I did n't pay it, they would charge it off and put it on my credit report. Im going to pay the bill but I think Hyundai is charging customers for something they are not incurring any costs for. How many other - customers are being charged for the same thing? I would like for someone to look into this because i dont think its fair and I would like my money back without my credit being affected.
