Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Trouble with how payments are handled Texas

My name is - - and this will be the second time I am writing to complain about the unfair collection practices of Chase. I have - student loans with them and I have to admit that I have been for the most part late on my payments. I always make the payments though late. The last complaint I had with them was resolved and hinged around the issue of notice before they defaulted me on my loans. This time I have been defaulted again still with no prior notice. I find this pattern unfair and somehow feel targeted. I accept I have been late on payments but I try and get caught up. I am really struggling with making payments and I have been told in the past that I do n't qualify for a forbearance or deferment which would have helped me get on track. On - -, 2016 I called - - which is the recovery group I have been calling when late on my payments. I was on the phone with a specialist for about 13 mins and I have phone records to prove it. The purpose of this call was to make

she said she did not see them. I had no inclination as to why and hoped it was a glitch that would be fixed. I made arrangements that day to get caught up on the - loans. To my utmost surprise, I got a letter from Chase in the mail dated - -, 2016 about me not making an effort to pay and therefore, the missing - loans were in default. I immediately called but their office was closed for the day. I find this unfair because an attempt was made prior to me receiving a letter of default. I called and spoke with a chase representative today ( - -, 2016 ) and as usual it was thrown in my face that I was late. I also was rudely told I should have called - and then they would have informed me about Chase defaulting me on the loans. I do n't even know who to deal with since my loan services had been transferred to - and they should have a better way of communicating with one another. The whole set up to me is confusing. I am not to tell Chase how to conduct their business but I feel targeted that my history is being used against me when a decision to default is made and I am not given notice till after the fact. I believe I should get notice before and not after the fact. Also I made an attempt to remedy the situation before I even knew of the status and this has emotionally caused me stress. I, like several Americans are struggling with loans and I am not asking for handoff. The representatives act like I benefit from paying late and I take exception to the manner that I get talked to. I incur late payments and my credit is affected so I do n't see why I get told Chase is taking a loss. The letter sent out on - - states that " I was advised to cure the default and I did not do so. '' I do not know what time line that statement was referring to but they were moments I was caught up on my payments. I do not understand the quick nature to default being such a severe consequence without prior notice and employ chase to reconsider this action. I am not asking for a bail out. I am struggling with this debt and every effort I make should at least count for something.
