I initiated a balance transfer from my - - card to my Chase card. A few days after I submitted the transfer I had the new balance on my - - account. I still had the balance on my Chase account. I contacted - - and went over the information. I gave them the account that is was suppose to be paid off ( Chase ). They said they sent an electronic payment to a - digit number ( they did n't have the last - of my credit card ). They said the tried to do a stop payment but could not due to it being an electronic payment. I contacted Chase and they said since the account does n't exist they can not locate the money. They said to contact - - and they can " take their money back ''. I have been in contact with several supervisors and no one wants to help me. They point the finger at the other bank. - - assures me that since they sent it electronically that there is nothing they can do. Chase assures me that there is nothing they can do. I do n't think I entered an account number in error but even if I did I do n't know why this is n't fixable. There was a payment of $1100.00 sent to an account that does n't exist. There should be a ledger showing this amount on Chase 's system and they should either credit my account or reject the payment from - -. I am now stuck with - balances with no end in sight. I am at my wits end and no one wants to get it resolved.
