I cosigned a loan with - - in - for my son - -. We were led to believe that this was a Federal student loan and in - the loan was apparently transferred to Navient and everything changed. We had made - monthly payments only to learn that those payments did n't apply to the loan. The original - loan now has a balance over -. The payments have gone from - a month to - a month. I have asked repeatedly for details on interests calculations and have received none. I have asked for information about how the payments are a applied and have received none. I have asked for an explanation of how a loan after - payments could be - hire than the original amount. I have asked why if I paid the loan off today why would I owe - instead of the outstanding principal and I still have n't received an explanation. Something is really wrong here. Please help.
