I 've asked Navient ( formerly - - ) for - things : 1. ) to have my cosigner released from my loans, and 2. ) to be provided with amortization information on my loans. Navient has denied both requests, for reasons that have not been made clear. There is no reason why my cosigner should not be released. I have paid as agreed on my loans for the entire time I 've been paying my loans, and I 've never defaulted. I formally applied to Navient to have my cosigner released and they denied my request, in writing, but with no reason explained. Also, there is no way to obtain amortization information for my loans. I 've asked Navient through their message center and was told that the information " is not available at this time. '' These practices are wrong. I 'm looking for information on the terms of my loan, which they refuse to provide. I 'm not looking to lower my payment, I 'm not looking to get out of my payments, and I 'm not looking to change the terms of my payment plan in any way. I 'm simply asking Navient to release my cosigner because there 's no reason for her to continue to receive correspondence from them or be bound to my loans, because I 've paid as agreed for the entire term of the loan thus far.
