I received a call in - that my private Discover Student Loan ( serviced by - - ) was in default and there was nothing I could do to bring it out of default. I was attending school and somehow the information was not relayed that I was still in school. The representative informed me that if I did not make payments, they could garnish my wages. I did not have the money at the time to make a payment. The loan servicer has continued to call me aggressively. The loan servicer also made calls to my family. Recently, I went online to try to make a payment but the account now States " referred to law firm ''. I also noticed additional fees were attached.
