I am a cosigner of my granddaughters student loan back in 2003 through - -. When payments were not made they sent me a letter and I made sure the accounts became current. - - split off or sold to Navient. I was not notified and had not heard anything for a long time. This past Monday I was paying a bill online and notice my FICO score went from - to -. I immediately printed my credit report and found to my surprise Navient reporting late payments. I called Navient customer service in - and they looked and said they email notices. Number one they did not have my email on file so she changed it. I followed the instructions of disputing the drop in score and sent part of my credit report and a letter about them not notifying me about anything. I had intentions of giving them an opportunity before making a complaint but in my email of Monday when they added it they also sent another email and in the account they showed where they had sent emails. They did not have my email address until Monday so it seems they are trying to get out of admitting the problem. What I want is my credit as it was. I noticed online that Navient has many complaints against them.
