I was contacted in - 2015 by - that they were cancelling my - accounts due to a charge off by Citibank. I was stunned to learn that Citi bank had charged a student loan to my credit status that I was to have co-signed without my knowledge or consent. I have asked for information and verification from the Citibank and they have not submitted the information requested. I asked for copies of my signature on the loan a copy of the check bearing my name, any phone calls made to me or any communication made to me or attempts to contact me to inform me of this account prior to charge off. I have not received any of the information requested. They send me copies of documents bearing no signature however marked electronic signature was taken. I asked for how they authenticated my identity I was told by information on my credit report no direct communication was required apparently. I asked for a log of phone calls made to me, none was made, I asked for a copy of the check bearing my name there is no record of this. I asked for collection procedures and I was mailed a series of letters mailed to an address I do not live at. My Credit score was in the high - to - range and to have it intentionally destroyed without notice was devastating. I have attempted to resolve this matter with Citibank however they have refused to provide the information requested or try to assist in any way. I asked why was a credit report not pulled to reach me and I was told they do n't pull credit reports however they pulled a credit report to acquire my information to give a loan without making contact with me in anyway. I find it very disturbing that money was granted on an electronic signature and without getting my approval. NO effort was made to contact me. It would have been resolved very easily with a phone call. However my credit was destroyed without any attempts to collect this debt.
