J.P. Morgan Chase provided out of date information regarding refunds on upfront mortgage insurance in regards to my FHA loan. The FHA Homeowners Fact Sheet paperwork they send is over 14 years old ( -/-/- ) and the current version that includes the update to the eligibility for a refund of upfront PMI costs was updated in -/-/-. Due to the fact that they did not provide accurate information I was left believing that I could get a refund of my upfront premiums if I refinanced to a conventional loan within the allotted time period. I even tried to refinance through them, but due to a horrible customer experience I ended up refinancing with another lender, and this makes me even more happy that I did. The update in -/-/- only allows a refund now if you refinance into another FHA loan ... thanks for nothing Chase.
