I bought a merchandise using " Amazon Store Card ''. Its essentially a line of credit extended through Synchrony Bank. Like many other consumers Amazon lured me by offering an interest free period. However, a few weeks later I received a letter confirming my enrollment in the - - - that charges $1.00 for every $100.00 in balance per month. I HAD NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THIS SERVICE and AMAZON and or Synchrony decided to sign me up without my explicit and written consent. I have been an amazon customer for 15 years and an amazon prime for over 8 - its rather unusual and flabbergasting to see amazon practice such tactics to nickel and dime their customers.
