I did a settlement with my Navient account through the collection agency - - -. I paid the settlement and received confirmation that it was paid. Navient is refusing to send me a - form which they are required to do by law. I need this form to file my taxes. Navient told me they are n't sending me the settlement form because I did n't pay a higher settlement amount, after I called their customer advocate department repeatedly requesting that they mail my -. The collection agency agreed to my offer on Navients behalf, and confirmed that the settlement had been finalized. I have no problem with the collection agency. But Navient themselves have refused to give me my - form by mail, and the reason they say they wo n't give it to me does n't make any sense. They said I should have paid more on my settlement. But they agreed to the settlement that their collection agency accepted from me on their behalf.
