I have tried to file a waste/fraud/abuse complaint with the Department of Education Inspector General and was referred here ( email attached ). I have been working with the Ombudsman 's Office since - 2015 ( Case # - ) to try and resolve issues with my account serviced by Navient. This has resulted in Navient making numerous changes to my account that typically cause further problems that need to be addressed. These " mistakes '' and " errors '' on their part always seem to result in paying more money towards my loan in the long term or sending in additional payments just to get Navient to look at my complaint. Navient has issued documents regarding these changes and they have sent copies of these documents in a timely manner to the Ombudsman 's Office. They have told my case worker that they are also sending me these documents, but I do n't think they 're actually being sent ; they


I am concerned because this latest " mistake '' on their part involved over $4000.00 of interest being shown on my account that does n't belong there. I believe they are deliberately withholding documentation of changes being made to my account because it shows egregious and possibly fraudulent activity on their part. I am tired of being shuffled from agency to agency, with everyone who accepts a complaint either telling me it 's not in their jurisdictional authority or that they simply can not help. I have begun writing the offices of my elected officials to inform them of my being shuffled around by different agencies and of the abusive behavior received on the part of Navient, a federal contractor.
