-/-/- we rented a car from - in -, through a broker, - -. Rental car fees were charged to our Chase Visa card. Under the terms of the rental agreement, local taxes, and misc fees were to be invoiced after return of the car. Upon receiving a billing to our credit card for - - from - after the rental period, we found that this billing included - - for refueling the car, despite the car being returned full. We filed a complaint with our credit card bank, Chase, and the dispute was resolved in our favor. - issued a credit for - -. Subsequently - claimed that they were never paid the undisputed amount of - - by Chase. Despite several letters from us, they turned the non-payment over to a payment recovery company, -, who threatened legal action. Chase states that - has been paid. In three separate conversations with Chase, including
therefore - has been paid. At Chase 's suggestion I have furnished - with copies of all credit card statements of our credit card since -, 2015, asking them to check their bank for payment, all to no avail. - advises that they have checked and continues to insist that it has not been paid. In conclusion, it is impossible for us to resolve this issue. We have paid Chase for the non-disputed amount. - insists that they have not been paid, Chase insists that it has made payment, but refuses to provide payment tracking information. Note that the outstanding amount has now dropped to - - as a result of - offering a further discount of - - to resolve the matter.
