I am a graduate of - also know as - - -, when meeting with school advisors they told me I would be in a top level chef position after graduation. I was told over and over that this was true. as I was second guessing my choice to attend I received multiple calls everyday ( sales call ) harassing me to attend the school. eventually I applied for student loans and was " accepted '' into the program. After completing my education I was unable to find - of those " high paying - '' that I was promised. I was stuck with over $35000.00 of student loans and only making $ - barley enough for me to pay my bills living on my own let a alone pay a high monthly payment on my student loans. I opted for forbearance. my loans collected interest and put me even further in debt. over time it seemed that I would make payments and my loans would just grow. finally after 10 years of being on and off forbearance and a lot of experience I finally have a decent paying job, but still not enough to take care of my family


- in north America are closing. so the degree that I was told once held " great weight '' because of the - name will not by worth the paper it is printed on. Now even if I could eventually get the chance to get that high paying job my degree will be worthless in the eyes on my new/potential employers. Unfortunately I was one of the many victims of the for profit schools. I will never be able to support my family they way I dreamed of or give them the " American Dream ''. I was tricked my school advisors into thinking I would have this great job after graduating and it did n't happen. Because of the many years of not making a living wage and trying to support my family my student loans are behind and so much interest has accumulated that it will most likely take the next half of my life to pay back. - - -- -
