U.S. Bancorp Consumer Loan Complaint

Vehicle lease Taking out the loan or lease

U.S. Bancorp Consumer Loan department,

Vehicle lease Taking out the loan or lease New Jersey

I contacted US Bank for a payoff amount of my remaining lease term to try to trade the vehicle in. I was told a payoff could only be provided to a dealership. When I called with the salesman on -/-/16, he was quoted $25000.00 to payoff the lease. Then the US Bank rep asked if I was leasing another vehicle through US Bank. The salesman said no, stating their dealership does n't have a financing relationship with US Bank. The rep then said he had to recalculate the price, and came back at $31000.00. When the salesman asked why a nearly $ - increase, the rep said " loyalty has it 's benefits. '' That evening I called and was transferred to the lease maturity department. A male rep was very rude and repeated the " loyalty has it 's benefits '' mantra and told me the bank has the right to increase the contractual lease buyout if I am not going to stay with the bank for a future transaction. When I asked for a manager I was initially told that I was not entitled to speak with a manager because he/she would tell me the same thing. After

back. When I called back the next day and explained to the rep what my issue was, I was put on hold for 7 minutes and then told that " due to technical difficulties '' I could not be transferred to a manager and should call back. I believe what US Bank is doing is illegal and deceptive - and being refused the option to speak with a manager to file a complaint is unfair. I should n't be penalized for looking to a different financing source, and I should n't be treated as rudely as I was by several representatives at US Bank.
