Capital One Credit card department,
My CapitalOne credit card was restricted and flagged for identity fraud. I sent in the required paperwork but did not want to send in a bill statement or a bank statement. I had my bank draft a letter with the information Capital One was requesting, but they say they could not accept it. Their policy would only accept a non-doctored bank statement. I could n't even cancel or end my card until this issue was resolved. I was forced to hand over personal information that went beyond verifying my identity. I do n't know how they were going to use it or what it would be used for or how the information would be protected. This is a corrupt policy and should be stopped. I hope that no one else has to hand over such sensitive information any more to CapitolOne.
